BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Victor Omar is a pharmacobiologist chemist specializing in clinical analysis at Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla in Mexico, where he worked on the evaluation of the humoral immune response of a vaccine against neurocysticercosis. He has postgraduate degrees in Immunology and Molecular Genetics. he has a Master of Sciences in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, where he worked on the inflammatory response at the molecular level during the synthesis of hepatic metallothionein's. He received his PhD in Microbiology studying the effect of sex hormones on the development of human neurocysticercosis. He did postdoctoral studies in Spain, where he work in pulmonary hypertension. In addition to scientific articles, he has written many textbooks for health science students in Latin America. He participated in the eradication of Neurocysticercosis in Mexico collaborating in the development of the GK-1UNAM vaccine and in the development of diagnostic methods for H1N1 virus in 2009. He has a patent application for a protein for early diagnosis in gastric cancer. Passionate about science and scientific divulgation.
